Comparative Analysis between Aodv, Dsr, Dsdv and Masp Routing Protocols in Manets Using Network Simulator-3
A Mobile Ad hoc Network is a kind of wireless ad-hoc network, and is a self-configuring network of mobile routers connected by wireless links. Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) is a wireless network without infrastructure. In such networks, nodes are able to move and synchronize with their neighbors. Due to mobility, connections in the network can change dynamically and nodes can be added and removed at any time .Self configurability and easy deployment feature of the MANET resulted in numerous applications in this modern era. Efficient routing protocols will make MANETs reliable. Various research communities are working in field of MANET and trying to adopt the protocols and technology in other applications as well. In this paper, an attempt has been made to compare four well know protocols AODV (Ad Hoc On Demand Distance Vector Routing), DSR (Dynamic Source Routing), DSDV (Destination Sequenced Distance Vector) and MASP (Maximum Amount Of Shortest Path) by using performance metrics. The comparison has been done by using simulation tool NS3 which is the main simulator.
AODV, DSR, DSDV, MASP, NS-3.
